Last week Anna started complaining about her rain boots being uncomfortable. I'm not sure why I was shocked to discover her toes cramped at the end. We need waterproof boots - we splash in puddles whenever they're around (which is all the time lately), and we need mud-proof boots for playschool (because the sand, or mud, box is a main attraction each week).
When I asked Anna what color she would like for her new rain boots, she immediately said blue. It's all about blue lately. While she admires anything colorful, blue is the color she wants for her new room, her new bedding, and now, her new boots. We searched for blue rain boots in her size online, but we struggled to find something blue and somewhat feminine. When we found these Bogs, she (and I) both fell in love. I love that they are warm and mud-proof, even if the warmth factor won't matter soon (I hope). She loves that the have blue circles on them. I bought her Bogs in a full size too big so, hopefully, they will fit next winter as well.
I know I'm late to the game here - I've been eyeing other people's Bogs for a while and wondering what all the fuss was about. Now I know. Unfortunately, the rain boots I received as a hand-me-down from my little sister still fit me, so I have no reason to buy myself a pair. Next winter, though, I'll be in the market for some warm boots, and I'll definitely be buying some Bogs.

Bogs rule. I was just talking with my mom yesterday about buying some for Grace for next winter. They are the best.
If Anna really likes blue, have I got a house for her!
It was funny, before we moved in, I asked Grace what color she wanted to paint her room and she said blue, too. I quickly vetoed her choice. No more blue! Lavender is close enough!
We LOVE our Bogs! That's all we have for winter boots - daddy, mommy, and two little girls sizes. (We'll have some to pass on in a year or two!)
